Blackberry without BIS / BES

blackberry_logoFor Blackberry GPRS settings, you will need to download this archive and unpack it.

Connect your Blackberry device to yoyr PC via USB. Run cmd.bat. Your Blackberry device will restart. Your cmd.bat executable will ask you to press any key. DO NOT PRESS NOTHING!

Open your Desktop Manager. Go to Backup and Restore. Then choose Advanced. Via File > Open, select the .jpd file from the downloaded archive. After that, move it to your list of service books. Yes, you must overwrite it.

Pres any key in you cmd.bat file. Your device will restart.

After that, make sure Service Book is installed on your device ( Email [CMIME] и Browser Config [BrowserConfig] ). Check it in Options > Advanced Options > Service book. If not, follow the procedure one more time.

Make sure that it was assigned Browser in Options > Advanced Options > Browser ( default browser configuration: Browser )

A browser icon should appear on your device.

Then isert your operator’s gprs settings in Options > Advanced Options > TCP. APN: internet only.

For better browsing, we recommend you to use Opera.

Select a modem: Celular line GPRS (if device supports 3G: Celular line GPRS/3G ) – Next

OK – Finish

Start menu > Settings > Connection tab > Connection icon

Create anothe cellular line in Windows Mobile

My work network: Add new modem connection
Enter a name for the connection:  MMS profile name
Select a modem: Celular line GPRS (if device supports 3G: Celular line GPRS/3G ) – Next

Domain: leave blank – Finish

Start – Messaging – Tools – MMS Settings

Connect via: My ISP ( secondary line, not the one using internet)
Retrive Messages: imediately
Save sent messages: no
Atempt before giving up: 5
